Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Support the Capital Procurement of Two (2) Bus Shelters for Future Installation at Stops Located on Orange County Government Property on the Existing Fixed Route Service Provided by Orange County Public Transit and to Provide 3 Years of Operating Assistance; Activities Performed: Fta Section 5339 Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Expenses Incurred in Procuring Two Bus Shelters for Future Installation at the Orange County Health Department and Orange County Social Services Stop Locations. Section 5307 Funds Will Be Used to Provide 2 Years of Operating Assistance.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Orange County Public Transit to Provide Safe Covered and Accessible Bus Shelters for Commuters and Permit Orange County to Continue to Provide and Expand Fixed-route Operations.; Intended Beneficiaries: Orange County Public Transit and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit From Access to a Safe Accessible and Comfortable Waiting Space and the Riders Relying on Its Transit Service Will Benefit From Continued Service and Reduced Headway Permitting Commuters to Work and Get to Other Destinations.; Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipient Activities Associated With This Application. All Activities Will Be Conducted by Orange County Public Transit and Implemented Through Competitively Procured Third-party Contractors Following Fta Circular C 4221.1G and County Procurement Procedures.
