Great Lakes Observing System Regional Association

Glos Will Support the Improvement and Enhancement of Various Observing Systems Around the Great Lakes, as Well as Expansion of Data Partners Within the Ioos Enterprise. Specifically, the Proposed Work Will Include Upgrades for More Than 20 Observing Platforms Within the Region, Support for at Least 10 New Platforms, and 4 New Partnerships. It Will Also Create Two Small Pools of Competitive-selection Support for Professional Development Funds for Observing Technicians and Observing Contingency Funds. Glos Will Expand Access to High Quality Regional Bathymetric Data and Enhance Coastal Safety and Coastal Forecast Modeling.
