Title: Brockton Leads the Way: Teachers for Resilience and Environmental Education in Brockton Overview: This Project Will Build Capacity for K-12 Environmental Literacy in Massachusetts at Multiple Levels. First, Within Brockton Public School Educators Will Be Empowered as Environmental Literacy Leaders Through Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences and the Development of a Long-term Community of Practice. Second, This Project Will Build Capacity at Schools Through Teacher-led Investment in Outdoor Learning Infrastructure on School Properties, and by Providing Curricular Support and Resources Through Educator Mini-grants. Finally, This Project Will Build Capacity for K-12 Environmental Literacy Statewide in Massachusetts by Collaborating With the Massachusetts Environmental Education Society to Distribute Environmental Literacy Resources Developed in Brockton Statewide, and Work to Update the Massachusetts Environmental Literacy Plan With a Focus on Climate Resilience and Environmental Justice.
