The Great Lakes Commission and Noaa Will Implement Several High Priority Habitat Restoration Projects for the Benefit of Native Fisheries. the Three Projects to Be Supported in the First Year of This Partnership Have Strong Support From Federal and State Agencies and Local Partners. They Are Described Below: Collins Park Steam Restoration Engineering and Design - Maumee Aoc, Ohio This Site Is Located Upstream of Toledo's Highly Industrialized Waterfront on the Maumee River, in the Duck Creek Watershed--a Small But Impactful Watershed in the Maumee Aoc. Duck Creek Is the Last Stream to Join With the Maumee River Before It Enters Maumee Bay. the Project Portion of the Creek Is Very Channelized and Much of the Creek Flows Through Subsurface Culverts. the Surrounding Riparian and Upland Areas Are Currently Managed as a Municipal Golf Course and Maintained Parkland Area.
