MT Adams Institute Will Be Awarded Up to $814,857 Over 3 Years to to Recruit, Hire and Place Veterans Interested in Natural Resources Within Noaa and Partner Agency and Non-profit Offices in the Pacific Region, Including Oregon, California, Washington and Alaska. Veterans Will Receive Training in a Series of Skills Related to Salmon and Steelhead Monitoring and Restoration. After Placement With Partners or Noaa Offices, Veterans Will Assist With Salmon and Steelhead Population and Habitat Monitoring, Planning Community Driven Restoration Projects and Helping to Restore Fisheries Habitat. Once 10 Months of Service Is Completed, Vets Will Be Awarded With a Certificate of Completion of the Vetswork Program. the Work Will Contribute to Recovery and Sustainability of Salmon and Steelhead Populations and Improve Veterans Connections to Habitats That Support Noaa Trust Resources. This Work Is Being Funded by the Habitat Conservation Program Office
