This Application Is to Request Section 5307 Funds Apportioned to Bay Metropolitan Transportation Authority (BMTA) in the Amount of $1930482. This Grant Provides $1930482 of FY2022 Section 5307 Operating and Capital Assistance to Bmta for the Period of October 1 2021 - September 30 2022. the Operating Assistance Includes a State Match of $3209823 and a Local Match Derived From Property Taxes of $2578106. the Capital Projects Also Include a State Match of $312513.1. Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Bmta Operating Assistance and Funding for Several Capital PROJECTS.2. Activities: Funds Will Be Used to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses Such as Driver Salaries Fuel Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One Year and Preventative Maintenance in Order to Continue Transit Operations. Funds Will Also Be Used to Cover Eligible Capital Expenses Such as the Purchase of 3 Lift Vans and Upgrades to Our Administrative Building and Central Bus STATION.3. Expected Outcomes: Continued Safe and Effective Operation of Transit Services for Bay COUNTY.4. Intended Beneficiaries: Populace of Bmtas Service Area and Local Area COMMUTERS.5. Specifically Recipient Must Ensure as a Condition of Being Authorized to Bid or Propose on Fta-assisted Transit Vehicle Procurements That Each Transit Vehicle Manufacturer Certified That It Complied With Dotrequirements for Submitting a Dbe Program and Goal to Fta Prior to Bidding. Recipient Is Also Required to Submit the Name of the Successful Bidder and the Total Dollar Value of the Contract Within 30 Days of Making an Fta- Assisted Transit Vehicle Award Using the Required Fta Reporting Tool. Recipient Understands That Failure to Comply With These Requirements Mayresult in Formal Enforcement Action or Appropriate Sanction as Determined by Fta Including Reimbursement of Fta Funds Used for the Vehicle Procurement.
