This Application Is to Request Section 5307 Arpa Funds Apportioned to Bay Metropolitan Transportation Authority (BMTA) in the Amount of $3112231. This Grant Provides 100% Federal Section 5307 Arpa Funds for Operating Assistance to Bmta in the Amount of $3112231 for Fiscal Year 2022. There Is No State or Local Share. 1. Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Operating Assistance for FY2022 (october 1 2021 - September 30 2022) to Continue Demand Response and Fixed Route Service. 2. Activities to Be Performed: the Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Expenses Such as Salaries and Fuel as Well as to Assist in Hiring and Retaining Drivers to Address the Employee Shortage. Additionally the Funds Will Be Used for Service Development and Marketing Activities to Assist in Getting Our Ridership Numbers Back to Pre-covid Levels. 3. Expected Outcomes: This Funding Will Ensure That Bmta Can Continue to Provide Reliable Service to the Region Without Any Interruptions Suspensions or Changes in Service. Ideally We Would Like to Expand Service to Better Meet the Needs of Passengers. 4. Intended Beneficiaries: the Beneficiaries of This Award Will Be Bmta and the Riders That Rely on Its Continued Service. 5. Subrecipient Activities: Nonethe Governors Apportionment Letter Dated April 13 2021 Is Attached to This Application.per Arp the Project in This Application Is Not Required to Be Programmed in the Long-range Transportation Plan Statewide Transportation Plan or Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.the Recipient Agrees That If It Receives Federal Funding From the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or Through a Pass-through Entity Through the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act a Different Federal Agency or Insurance Proceeds for Any Portion of a Project Activity Approved for Fta Funding Under This Grant Agreement It Will Provide Written Notification to Fta and Reimburse Fta for Any Federal Share That Duplicates Funding Provided by Fema Another Federal Agency or an Insurance Company.
