Application Purpose: This Is a Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) Request for $22637064 in American Rescue Plan 5307 Funds (ARP) Act Appropriation for the Barnstable-ma Uza for a Program of Operating and Capital Projects Which Will Facilitate Maintaining Service in the Midst and Aftermath of the COVID-19 Pandemic as Well as Accelerate the Conversion of the Ccrta Fleet to Zero-emissions Vehicles.in Accordance With Fta Circulars 9040.1G and 9030.1E Preventive Maintenance Activities Are Considered Operating Costs.; Activities Performed: - Operating Assistance Non-fixed Route Ada Paratransit Service Preventive Maintenance and Mobility Management Activities for the Period of Jan 1 2023 - Dec 31 2023- Acquisition and Installation of Miscellaneous Support Equipment at the South Dennis Operations Center- Purchase of Three (3) Electric Caravans- Purchase of Seven (7) Eight Passenger Electric Cutaway Buses- Purchase of Two (2) Ten to Twelve Passenger Electric Cutaway Buses- Purchase of Three (3) Electric Administrative Vehicles- Employee Training Activities for Fleet Electrification- Acquisition and Installation of Real-time Information Systems at Bus Shelters- Development and Installation of Smartdart Scheduling Software; Expected Outcomes: the Primary Focus of This Effort Will Be to Continue to Bring Back Ridership Lost During the Covid Pandemic and Modernize the Fleet With Zero-emission Vehicles Which Are in Demand in an Area as Environmentally Conscious as Cape Cod. Both Efficiency and Emission Reduction Are Obvious Advantages But We Would Expect Further to Be a Leader Among Transportation Providers in the Area by Providing Support to Others in Their Efforts to Electrify Their Fleets.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Beneficiaries of This Effort Will Be the Riders Who Use Our Service But the Reduced Emissions We Expect to Deliver Will Benefit All Citizens in Our Area and Beyond.; Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Subrecipient Activities Directly Related to This Effort.
