This Application Is to Request Ffy 2019 Section 5339 Funds Apportioned to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Amount of $388250 Which Was Designated as Part of a Low/no Grant Award. These Funds Will Be Matched With Local Funds as Approved by the Steamship Authority Board of Governors and Used to Pay the Incremental Costs of Purchasing Two Electric Transit Buses to Be Used for Transporting Steamship Passengers From Parking Lots in Falmouth to the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal. Purpose: These Funds Will Be Used to Pay the Incremental Cost of Upgrading the Bus From Diesel to an All Electric Bus. the Buses Will Be Replacing Two Buses Currently in Use That Have Reached the End of Their Useful Life.activities to Be Performed: the Buses to Be Purchased Have Been Procured Through Build Your Dreams Motors (BYD) as Their Preferred Vendor for All-electric Bus Technologies After a Competitive Bid Process. After Being Placed Into Service These Buses Will Be Used to Provide Transportation Between Parking Lots in Hyannis to the Local Ferry Dock or Falmouth to the Ferry Dock in Woods Hole.expected Outcomes: Reduced Energy Consumption; Reduced Vehicle Emissions; Reduced Carbon Emissions; and Lower Maintenance Costs.intended Beneficiaries: the Service Is Open to the Public So Available to Any Residents or Visitors to Cape Cod.subrecipient Activities: All Activities Under This Grant Will Be Performed by the Steamship Authority as a Subrecipient to the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Oversight.
