This Application Is to Request Section 5307 Funds Apportioned to the Worcester Ma-ct Uza in the Amount of $9392889 ($7919648 From Ffy 2021; $1473241 From Ffy 2022) and to Request Section 5339 Funds Apportioned to the Worcester Ma-ct Uza in the Amount of $718032 ($197513 From Ffy 2021; $520519 From Ffy 2022) for a Total of $10110921 Federal Funds.purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Over 1 Year of Operating Assistance Associated Capital Maintenance Miscellaneous Support Equipment the Purchase of 9 Replacement Fixed Route Buses 4 Replacement Demand Response Vehicles 1 Replacement Support Vehicle 4 Replacement Bus Shelters and a Replacement Four-post Vehicle Lift for Demand Response Vans for the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) to Assist It in Fixed Route and Demand Response Operations During the Period of 7/01/2021 to 9/30/2023. Activities to Be Performed: Funds Will Be Used to Cover All Eligible Associated Capital Maintenance Support Equipment and Operating Expenses Such as Labor and Fringe Benefit Costs and the Purchase of 9 Replacement Buses 1 Support Vehicle and 4 Replacement Vans 4 Replacement Bus Shelters and a Replacement Four-post Vehicle Lift. Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Permit Wrta to Finance a Program of Projects That Will Enable the Wrta to Continue Providing a Reliable Responsive and Safe Transit Service to the Public. Intended Beneficiaries: Wrta and the Riders That Rely on Its Service Will Benefit From Continued Services Permitting Workers to Get to Work and Other Destinations. Subrecipient Activities: None.
