Purpose: Recipients of the Latcf Program, Which Includes the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.s. Virgin Islands, Eligible Revenue Sharing Counties, and Tribal Governments May Use the Assistance for Any Governmental Purpose Except for a Lobbying Activity to Meet Their Jurisdiction's Needs. Activities to Be Performed: Recipients Have Broad Discretion on Uses of Funds Under the Latcf Program, Including But Not Limited to, Provision of Health Services, Educational Services, Court Services, Police, Fire, Emergency Medical, Utilities or Sanitation Services; Provision of Direct Assistance to Households (including Cash Assistance); Capital Expenditures on Core Facilities and Equipment, Including in Housing and Community Development (e.g., Schools, Hospitals, Childcare Facilities, and Parks and Recreation Facilities), Public Safety Facilities and Equipment (e.g., Police Vehicles), Government Administration Buildings; and Infrastructure Investments, Including Roads, Bridges, Water and Sewer Systems, Utility Systems, Airports, Public Transit, and Technology Infrastructure (e.g., Broadband). for More Information on Eligible Uses of Funds, See Https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/coronavirus/assistance-for-state-local-and-tribal-governments/local-assistance-and-tribal-consistency-fund.
