This Project Is to Mitigate Risk of Wildfire Near Structures and Roadways in or Near the Forested Areas of Powder River County. the Thinning of the Trees and the Underbrush by the Mitigation Contractors Will Lessen the Threat of Fire. the Mitigation Will Improve Ingress, Egress, and Firefighter Safety in the Event of a Wildfire.the Technical Approach of This Project Is to Be Selective in the Cutting of Trees and Reducing Fuel Loading in the Forest Understory and Areas of Juniper Expansion Into Grasslands and Sagebrush Communities. These Efforts Will Help Promote Fire Adapted Communities, Forest Resiliency, and Lessen the Fire Threats and Protect the People of the Community.
