Award Purpose This Project Will Collect and Save Native Seeds Using a Program Called Seeds of Success Sos, at the Cosumnes River Preserve CRP for Growing Seasons the 2025, 2026 and 2027. the Project Will Also Train Two Field Workers Hired Through the American Conservation Experience Ace Program. Activities to Be Performed the Partner Will Collect Seeds and Coordinate With the Bureau of Land Management BLM to Clean Seeds at a Facility. This Place Will Also Check If the Seeds Are Good to Use. Some of the Collected Seeds Will Be Saved for Future Use and Research, While the Rest Will Be Grown at a Nursery or Used to Help Restore Areas at CRP. the Partner Will Also Make Maps and Gather Information About Plant Populations to Help With Future Seed Collections.expected Deliverables the Goal Is to Collect Seeds From at Least 20 Different Species, Aiming for a Total of 1.5 Million Seeds. for Each Type of Seed We Collect, We Will Keep a Full Example of the Plant to Store at the Smithsonian Institute.intended Beneficiaries This Project Will Help the Public and the BLM by Providing Seeds From Native Plants for the Cosumnes River Preserve CRP and the Bend Seed Extractory. These Seeds Can Be Used to Grow Plants That Will Help Restore the Environment at CRP and Other Places.
