The Sloan Canyon Petroglyph Trail S 3D Documentation and Storytelling Initiative Aims to Deepen Publicappreciation of Sloan Canyon and Its Connection to Indigenous Communities in Southern Nevada Bycompleting 3D Documentation and Developing an Online Tour on Cyarks Tapestry Platform. Cyark, Inpartnership With the Sloan Canyon Conservation Area Staff, Will Engage With Local Tribes to Craft Anexperience Reflecting Their Perspective on Sloan Canyon. Home to Over 300 Rock Art Panels and Nearly 1,700DESIGNS, These Petroglyphs Are a Window Into the Lives of Native People Who Have Called This Place Home Forgenerations. Collaborating With the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Those With Ancestral Ties to Thesite, Cyark Will Document the Petroglyph Trail With Laser Scanning and Photogrammetry to Develop Ahigh-resolution 3D Model. This 3D Model Will Anchor a Virtual Experience Enriched by Interviews With Tribalmembers and BLM Staff. the Result Will Be Dynamic Online Educational Resources That Fosters a Deeperconnection to This Site. the Online Component Will Also Increase the Number of People Who Can Access Thissite, Given the Challenges of In-person Visitation. the Accurate 3D Documentation Will Support the BLM Songoing Conservation Efforts, Ensuring the Petroglyphs Preservation for Generations to Come.
