The SWCD Will Document Native Plant Species, Non-native Invasive Species and Mitigation Needs From Mining and Wildfires as Well as Soils Distributions. All Data Collected Can Assist With Land Management Decisions by Providing Base Line Conditions and Identifying Areas of Concern or Actions Needed to Correct Deficiencies.the Goal of the Native Plant Nursey Project Is to Partner With the BLM to Create a Regional, Pilot Native Plant Nursery for Support of Trust Species Habitat. a Native Plant Nursery Will Produce Restoration Materials for Partnering Agencies, Facilitate and Promote Use of a Diversity of Local Native Plant Stock in Public Projects, and Carry Out Demonstration, Education, and Outreach to Support Development of Native Plant Propagation in the Private Agricultural Sector. Outreach and Participation Targets Include Federal, State, Tribal and Community Partners and Agricultural Cooperators in Private Industry Positioned to Develop Native Plant Production for Restoration Endeavors in Alaska.this Project Will Provide Botanical Soils Support for Soils Survey and Ecological Site Description Field Work in the Nulato Hills NRCS Mapping Area. Activities Include Remote Site Data Collection and Management. This Project Is Inpartnership With Alaska Usda NRCS.
