Current and Accurate Information on SSS Status and Locations Is Crucial for BLMS Ability to Manage Species and Their Habitats, Including Under Changing Climate Conditions. the Information Also Supports Accurate Nepa Evaluations and Esa Section 7(A)(2) Consultations. the Technical Approach Clearly Lays Out Project Objectives With Specific Tasks That Are Clear and Applicable to Achieving Stated Needs and Results for Updated Taxonomy, Location Information, Habitat Modeling, Status Assessment, and Species Prioritization. the Approach Builds Off 3 Previous Years of Work to Ensure Updated SSS Information. Collect an to Date SSS Lists and Align With Current Taxonomy. Identify, Review, and Resolve Taxonomic Mismatches, Generate Integrated SSS List. Asses Data Gaps, Produce and Deliver SSS Habitat and Distribution Maps, Produce Analyses an Visual Summaries of BLM Stewardship Responsibilities for SSS. Update and Report SSS Conservation Status Ranks and Work With BLM to Identify Priority Species for Review. Apply SSS Prioritization Ruleset to Sensitive Species.
