The Purpose of This Award Is to Strengthen the Working Relationship Between the Bureau of Land Management BLM and the National Forest Foundation NFF to Advance Cross Boundary Vegetation and Fuels Management Projects in Colorado It Would Be Mutually Beneficial to Establish a Framework for Our Organizations to Collaborate on Projects to Accomplish Mutual Goals the BLM Mission Is to Sustain the Health, Diversity, and Productivity of Public Lands for the Use and Enjoyment of Present and Future Generations the Mission of the NFF Is to Engage Americans in Community Based and National Programs That Promote the Health and Public Enjoyment of the 193 Million Acre National Forest and Grasslands System and to Administer Private Gifts of Funds for the Benefit of National Forests and Grasslands in Many Instances in Colorado, the BLM and NFF Are Seeing Opportunities to Work in Shared Stewardship Across Jurisdictional Boundaries in Areas Where the NFF Is Already Working With the U S Forest Service to Treat National Forest System and Private Land, the NFF and BLM Could Gain Efficiencies by Also Treating BLM Lands
