Operates in Every Watershed in Oregon That Lies West of the Cascades Crest Either Directly, or via Network Partners That Include Over 100 Mou-signing Federal, State and Local Agencies as Well as Myriad Ngo Partners Who Are All Focused on Habitat Restoration, Native Plant Community Preservation and Habitat Enhancement. for the Last 20 Years, the Mission of W.i.n. Is to Create, Maintain and Strengthen Collaborative Management and Prevention, and Awareness of Invasive Species of Concern in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. W.i.n. Accomplishes Our Mission by Achieving Numerous Objectives, Including But Not Limited TO:1. Develop and Coordinate Awareness, Education and Training Programs in Cooperation With Theoregon/washington Invasive Species Councils, Oregon/washington Departments of Agriculture, Oregon/washington State University Extension, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Watershed Councils, Federal Agencies, Non-profits, and Other Interested PARTNERS.2. Serve as a Conduit of Information Related to Invasive Weed Control for Partners and the Public in Northwest Oregon and Southwest WASHINGTON.3. Supporting the Technical and Organizational Capacity of Cooperative Weed Management AREAS.4. Promote Effective County Weed Districts And/or Local Management PROGRAMS.5. Identify and Leverage Existing Resources to Assist in Implementing Invasive Species Management STRATEGIES.6. Secure New Funding to Support Priority Projects and Local Implementation Capacity Within Northwest Oregon and Southwest WASHINGTON.7. Provide Local Communities and Members of the Western Invasives Network With Information Regarding the Authorities, Capabilities, Missions and Services of the Partners.
