River Valley Metro Mass Transit District

This Grant Provides $1913934 of Fy 2021 Section 5307 Operating Assistance to River Valley Metro Mass Transit in the Kankakee Urbanized Area for the Period of September 15 2021 to September 15 2022. the Matching Funds for This Operating Assistance Will Be Provided by the State of Illinois Downstate Operating Assistance in the Amount of $8160700 Which Is in Excess of the Required Match. Attachments to This Application Include the Tip Table Referring the Fy 2021 Operating Assistance Certification Approved on 6/24/2020 and the Fy 2021 Allocation Table. the Fta/fhwa Stip Approval Letter Is Attached. Purpose of the Award: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide Monies for a Portion of the Operating Expenses for Public Transit in the Urbanized Area of Kankakee County for Fy September 15 2021 Through September 15 2022. Activities to Be Performed: River Valley Metro Mass Transit District Provides Public Transportation to the Urbanized Area of Kankakee County. River Valley Metro Provides Staffing for Administration Maintenance of Fleet and Customer Support in Dispatch and on the Street in the Form of Road Supervisors. Activities Included in Operations Are Wages and Benefits for All Metro Staff Maintaining Facilities Owned by Metro Maintenance for Fleet and Support Vehicles Including Fuel Tires Parts and Other Supplies to Maintain Them. This Also Includes the Contract With First Transit. This Contract Provides the Bus Drivers for Metro Including Their Training. Expected Outcomes: the Expected Outcome of This Grant Is to Continue to Provide the Same Level of Service Metro Is Currently Providing to the Urbanized Area of Kankakee County. Intended Beneficiaries: the Intended Beneficiaries of This Grant Are the Residents of the Urbanized Area of Kankakee County Including Village of Aroma Park City of Kankakee Villages of Bradley Bourbonnais and Manteno Manteno Township and a Portion of Kankakee County. Subrecipient Activities: Metro Does Not Have Any Subrecipient.
