Mary Fay Pendleton Elementary School, Which Provides Kindergarten Through Eighth Grade Education to Military Dependents, Is Ranked 21 on the Dod Priority List Dated July 2011. Fuesd Has Considered Multiple Options to Resolve the Identified Deficiencies and Examined Them Based on State of California School Construction Standards, Educational Goals, Facility Condition, Construction Costs, and Future Maintenance and Operating Expenses. the Design Solution Resolves the Dod Identified Concerns and Other Facility Limitations by Replacing the School Through a Phased Construction Approach. the Construction of New Buildings Resolves Significant Issues That Cannot Be Addressed by Modernizing the Existing Buildings, and Reduces the Time and Cost That Would Be Associated With Modernization. the School Will Continue to Operate During Construction. the Design for This Project Was Completed Under a Previous Planning Grant From the Psmi Program. the Project Scope for This Project Includes Completion of the Construction Activities With a Target Completion in Late 2021.
