Fy 2024 Behavioral Health Service Expansion - Green River Medical Center Grant Program #H80CS00462 This Proposal Seeks Funding From the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to Address the Critical Need for Expanded Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Services in the Frontier Communities of Green River and Moab, Utah, and Surrounding Areas. These Underserved Regions Currently Lack Accessible Resources for Mental Health and Sud Treatment, Leaving Community Members Without Essential Support. With This Grant, We Aim to Significantly Enhance the Provision of Care by Hiring Two Full-time Behaviorists, a Full-time Peer Support Specialist, and a Part-time Front Office Staff Member. Through Strategic Staffing, We Anticipate Expanding Our Capacity to Serve Individuals in Need of Mental Health and Sud Services. We Will Also Expand Our In-house Pharmacy in Order to House More Medications to Assist in Sud Services. Specifically, Our Projected Outcomes Include Increasing the Number of Patient Visits for Mental Health Services by 321 and for Sud Services by 100 Annually. Our Approach Prioritizes Holistic Care, Emphasizing the Integration of Evidence-based Practices and Peer Support to Address the Complex Needs of Our Diverse Patient Population. by Offering Culturally Sensitive and Linguistically Appropriate Services, We Aim to Reduce Barriers to Care and Improve Health Outcomes for Individuals and Families in Our Community. the Proposed Expansion Will Particularly Benefit Residents of Frontier Areas, Where Access to Behavioral Health and Sud Services Is Especially Limited. Through Our Outreach Efforts and Collaboration With Local Stakeholders, Including Community Organizations and Healthcare Providers, We Aim to Establish a Comprehensive Network of Support That Extends Beyond Clinical Settings. by Investing in the Expansion of Behavioral Health and Sud Services in Green River, Moab, and Surrounding Areas, We Seek to Foster Resilience and Well-being in Our Community. This Grant Will Not Only Address Immediate Gaps in Service Provision But Also Contribute to the Long-term Health and Vitality of Our Frontier Communities.
