Modoc Nation's Tribal Opioid Response Project Will Offer Training, Outreach, and Harm Reduction Materials to Individuals With or at Risk of Oud and Sud in Ottawa County and Surrounding Areas. - Modoc Nation’s Tribal Opioid Response Project Will Facilitate Harm Reduction, Prevention, Education, and Awareness Activities Targeted Toward Transition-aged Youth (18-25 Years Old) in Ottawa County and Surrounding Areas. the Project Will Utilize Harm-reduction Strategies Including: 1.) Narcan Administration Training for Community Members and Treatment Professionals and 2.) Distribution of Narcan Kits, Drug Testing Strips, and Medication Lock Boxes. These Harm Reduction Supplies Will Also Be Made Readily Available to the Community Through the Centrally Located Harm Reduction Vending Machine. Cultural Competency Training Will Be Made Available to Treatment Providers and Prosocial Educational Activities Focused on Culture as a Healing Factor Will Be Offered to the Community Members. in Addition, Quarterly Widespread Stigma-reducing and Treatment-access Campaigns Will Be Launched in the Catchment Area to Promote the Availability of Resources in Our Community.
