Resiliency Pathways - the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians in Oklahoma's Resiliency Pathways Grant Program Aims to Address the Opioid Crisis by Focusing on Prevention and Harm Reduction to Rural American Indians (AI) Who Reside Within the Area of Northeast Oklahoma. the Population of Focus Shall Be Area Adolescents and Adults With or at Risk for an Opioid or Stimulant Abuse. With a Culturally Informed and Responsive Approach, the Program Will Develop and Employ Evidence-based Community Prevention Efforts, Implement School-based Prevention Programs, and Provide Education to Elders and Outreach to the Community. by Incorporating Psychosocial Educational Activities and Information Dissemination Campaigns That Target Behavioral Health Disparities and Social Determinants of Health, the Program Aims to Effectively Address the Root Causes of Opioid and Stimulant Misuse. Additionally, the Program Will Offer Comprehensive Support to Individuals Affected by Substance Use Disorders (suds), Including Harm Reduction Supplies, Referrals, and Warm Hand-offs to Relevant Resources and Psychosocial Interventions. Through These Initiatives, the Program Seeks to Make a Significant Impact in Preventing Substance Misuse and Supporting Individuals on Their Path to Recovery.
