Harbor Pregnant and Postpartum Women Grant Project - Harbor's Population of Focus Will Concentrate on Serving Pregnant and Postpartum Women and Their Families Within Lucas County and Northwest Ohio Who Are at Risk for Continued Drug Use During and After Pregnancy, Particularly Those Where Data Show They Are Disproportionally Impacted by Race or Economic Status Within the City of Toledo. Harbor's Implementation Plan Included Residential and Outpatient Treatment for Pregnant and Postpartum Women Who Have Substance Use Disorders. the Program Goal Is to Provide Comprehensive Services and Harm Reduction Interventions to Pregnant and Postpartum Women Across a Continuum of Specialty Sud Residential and Outpatient Levels of Care, Based on Comprehensive, Individualized Screenings and Assessments That Inform Treatment Planning and Service Delivery in a Continuous Care Model. Recovery Supports to Assist the Women in Obtaining and Maintaining Safe Affordable Housing, Educational and Vocational Opportunities. the Goals of the Program Include: - Reduction in the Use/abuse of Prescription Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Illicit Substances Among Pregnant and Postpartum Women. - Increase Safe and Healthy Pregnancies - Reduce Perinatal and Environmentally Related Effects of Drug Use on Infants and Children - Improving Parenting Skills and Family Functioning - Improve the Emotional and Behavioral Disorders Among Children of the Participating Mothers in the Program - Improve the Economic Stability of Women and Families in the Program
