Bamsi Sa-hiv Navigation Program - Brockton Area Multi-services, Inc. (BAMSI) Provide Substance Abuse and Hiv Prevention Navigation for the Population of Focus (POF) - Black and Latinx Individuals Assigned Male at Birth (AMAB) Who Are at Risk for or Living With Hiv/aids Emphasizing Lgbtqia+ Individuals, MSM, Those Who Are at Highest Risk for Drug Misuse And/or Who Diagnosed With Substance Use Disorder (SUD) And/or Co-occurring Mental Health (MH) and Sud (COD) - in Brockton and Surrounding Towns and Cities. the Ma Department of Public Health (DPH)’S 2/1/21 Statewide Report for Ma Hiv/aids Epidemiology Found That Brockton Had the Second Highest Average Annual Rate (28.5%) of Hiv Infection Diagnosis in Ma During 2017-2019. This Program Will Address the Needs and Gaps of the Pof Through the Addition of a Peer Prevention Navigator/educator (pn/e) Focused on Black and Latinx Amab Individuals and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (ladc 1). These Positions Will Work Within Bamsi’s Existing Hiv Services Program and the Following Prevention and Care Staff in Brockton: Three Fte Pn/es Focused on Hiv Prevention, Education, Harm Reduction Services, Hiv/hcv/sti Testing Referrals to Treatment; One License Practical Nurse (LPN) Focused on Medical Management Including Wound Care; a Trans Health Navigator; Two Medical Case Managers; Two Care Access Coordinators; and a Housing Coordinator. Goals: 1) Provide Hiv Prevention and Substance Misuse Awareness to Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, and 2) Provide Hiv Prevention and Substance Misuse Services to Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, With the Following Objectives: Run an Advertisement Campaign on a Variety of Social Media Platforms Promoting Hiv Prevention Services That Reaches a Minimum of 200 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, Peer Prevention Navigator Will Use Social Media to Conduct Educational Outreach and Recruitment for Hiv Testing, Prep/pep Services, and Substance Use Disorder Treatment to Recruit a Minimum of 200 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, Recruit 30 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals as Community Prevention Ambassadors Who Will Provide Science-based Education About Hiv/aids Prevention, Hiv Prep/pep, and Substance Misuse and Addiction to 150 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, Use Social Networking Strategy (SNS) to Recruit a Minimum of 200 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals for Hiv/hcv/sti Screening Recruitment, Provide Hiv/hcv/sti Counseling and Testing to 100 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, Bamsi Will Offer Two Large-scale Hiv/hcv/sti Testing Events Every Year to Reach a Minimum of 100 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals, Peer Prevention Navigator Will Provide Linkage to Care for Hiv/hcv/sti Treatment and Related Social Services, Hiv Prep/pep, And/or Linkage to Substance Use Disorder Treatment to a Minimum of 50 Black and Latinx Amab Individuals.
