Kickapoo Nation Health Center Special Diabetes Program for Indians - the Kickapoo Nation Health Center Sdpi Provides Diabetic Care, Treatments, Managements, and Prevention to Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas Member in or Around the Reservation and Surrounding Areas. Kickapoo Tribe Is Located About 1-2 Hours Away From the Missouri Border and 45 Minutes Away From the Nebraska Border. We Currently Serve 1028 Patients and of Those Patients 151 Are Confirmed Diabetic Patients. the Kickapoo Tribe Provides Farm Fresh Food to the Community and the Community Holds a Community Garden. the Kickapoo Tribe Also Provides a Commodity Program to Community Members. Sdpi Works Directly With the Kickapoo Nation Health Center Ihs Facility. This Allows the Program to Be Able to Do Both Clinical and Community Based. the Diabetes Health-related Issues Within the Community Is High A1C'S and Heart Health. a Main Focus and Goal for Sdpi, Is Lower A1CS and Ensure That Patients Are Receiving Care, Treatments, Management and Prevention.
