Monacan Nation Sdpi Program - the Monacan Indian Nation (MIN) Proposes to Assist Monacan Citizens, Especially Tribal Elders, in Treating and Preventing Diabetes Through the Best Practice of Diabetes Education. Tribal Staff, Consultants, and Partners, Including the Monacan Indian Nation Food Bank, Ymca, Daily Bread, New Life Church, United South and Eastern Tribes (uset), and Indian Health Service Will Work Together to Offer Services. Services Will Include Nutrition Classes, Cooking Classes, Exercise Sessions, Prediabetes Education, Distribution of Education and Supply Materials, Webinars, and Through Coordination With Health Educators and Advisors. Our Target Group Includes Approximately 234 Tribal Elders, But Will Initially Serve Between 20 to 40 Tribal Elders Daily at the Tribe’s Elder Center.
