Application Purpose: the Purpose of This Award Is to Provide the Guam Regional Transit Authority With Two (2) Years of Operating Assistance Funds Two (2) Years of Preventive Maintenance Major and Minor Repair Contract of All Rolling Stocks and Related Equipment the Purchase of Replacement Rolling Stocks and Two (2) Years of State or Program Administration Funds to Assist the Paratransit Fixed Route and Southern Shuttle (mobility-on-demand) Operations From October 01 2025 to September 30 2027.; Activities Performed: Grta Will Use These Funds to Cover Eligible Operating Expenses Such as: 1.) Bus Operators Dispatchers/schedulers and Vehicle Maintenance Personnel Salaries Fringe Benefits Overtime Hazard and Night Differential Pays Fuel Oil Items Having a Useful Life of Less Than One Year Such as Rolling Stock and Transit Shelter Cleaning Supplies/equipment. 2.) Preventive Maintenance Major and Minor Repair Service Contracts for All Rolling Stocks and Related Equipment for Continued Transit Operations. 3.) Acquisition of Rolling Stock Replacement and 4.) State/programs Administration to Fund the Costs of Administering the Drug and Alcohol Testing Off-island Travel and Training to Participate in Fta-sponsored Training and Purchase of Office Supplies/equipment.; Expected Outcomes: the Funding Will Allow the Guam Regional Transit Authority to Continue the Safe and Effective Operation of Transit Services for Both Rural and Urban Areas of the Territory of Guam to Meet the Preventive Maintenance Standards and Keep the Rolling Stocks in a State of Good Repair to Enable to Acquire Rolling Stock Replacement and to Fund the Administrative Expenses Such as the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Off-island Travel and Training to Participate in Fta-sponsored Training to Purchase Office Supplies/equipment.; Intended Beneficiaries: the Grant Award Intended Beneficiaries Are the Territory of Guam Transit Agencies and Citizens That Rely on Public Transit Services in the Rural and Urbanized Areas of the Territory for the Public Transit Systems Continued Operations.; Subrecipient Activities: Since Grta Has No Subrecipients Grta Has Received and Expended Annually Non-urbanized and Urbanized Formula Grant Funds From Fta Directly.
