Combined in This Super Grant Are Ffy 2021 Fhwa Ferry Boat Flex Funds Ffy 2021 Section 5337 and Ffy 2021 Section 5339 Which Will Lapse by 09/30/2024; Total Lapsing Funds Are $708843.; Activities Performed: the Fhwa Ferry Boat Flex Funds and 5337 Funds Will Support Preventative Maintenance for Cats Ferry Boats. Additionally the 5339 Funds Will Be Combined for a Total Federal Amount of $831484 to Purchase a Hybrid Electric Bus. the Period of Performance Is 1/01/2024 to 03/30/2033.; Expected Outcomes: Funding for Ferry Preventive Maintenance Will Allow Cat to Continue to Operate Its Ferry Fleet and Provide Ferry Service in a Safe and Efficient Manner. Funding the Purchase of a Hybrid Electric Bus Will Permit Chatham Area Transit to Provide Foundational Elements That Support and Maintain the Directive and Goals of the Cat Organization in the Areas of Fleet Replacement and Electric Infrastructure Investment. Chatham Area Transit Is Committed to Continual Improvement Through Its Grow Green Initiative.; Intended Beneficiaries: Intended Beneficiaries of the Ferry Boat Preventative Maintenance (fhwa Ferry Boat Flex Funds and Section 5337 Funds) Include Residents Workers and Visitors of Savannah by Providing Safe and Reliable Transportation to Employment Opportunities the Convention Center and Other Activity Centers in Downtown Savannah. in Addition the Project Will Keep the Ferries in Good Repair Ensuring Ongoing Protection of the Health Safety and Welfare of the Public at Large.
