Project Title: Convening Seismic Community Partners to Exercise the Plan to Coordinate Nehrp Post-earthquake Investigationsproject Period: 10 1 2025 Through 9 30 2026AWARD Purpose: the Purpose of This Project Is to Increase Awareness of the Newly Updated Plan to Coordinatepost-earthquake Investigations Supported by the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (nehrp), Usgs Circular 1542 and Improve the Readiness of the Post-earthquake Investigation Community to Contribute to Nehrp Investigations. This Will Be Accomplished Through an In-person Workshop and Table-top Exercise Including a Wide Group of Post-earthquake Investigators. the Participation of This Broad Community Will Ensure That Stakeholders Are Aware of the Updated Plan and That the Plan Is Fully Exercised by All Types of Groups That Would Be Participating in Future Earthquake Responses.activities to Be Performed: the Main Project Activity Is an In-person, Full-day Workshop and Table-top Exercise of the Plan That Will Take Place at the 13TH U.s. National Conference on Earthquake Engineering in Portland, Oregon in July 2026. the Workshop Program Will Be Developed by a Planning Committee Made Up of Key Federal, State, and Non-governmental Organization Partners. the Planning Committee Will Discuss Relevant Earthquake Scenarios to Include in the Exercise Portion of the Workshop. Workshop Participants Will Include a Wide Group of Post-earthquake Investigators and Key Federal, State, and Non-governmental Organization Representatives.deliverables and Expected Outcomes: the Main Deliverable From This Project Will Be a Workshop After-action Report That Captures Lessons and Key Discussions Coming From the Workshop and Exercise. the Report Can Be Used to Implement Changes and Better Prepare for the Nehrp Response to Future Earthquakes. the Participation of a Wide Group of Stakeholders Will Lead to Improved Coordination of Future Post-earthquake Investigations.intended Beneficiaries: This Workshop Will Benefit Several Different Groups. Participating Organizations and Individuals Will Be Better Prepared to Coordinate and Gather Critical Post-earthquake Data, Will Have a Better Understanding of How to Contribute to Federal Nehrp Post-earthquake Investigations, and Will Be Better Connected to the Rest of the Post-earthquake Investigation Community.
