Project Title: Utah 2025 State Map Applicationproject Period: 8 18 2025 Through 8 17 2027PURPOSE: the Proposed Projects Address Basic Needs for Geologic Mapping at Scales INCLUDING1:24,000 and 1:100,000 Across Utah. Additional Projects Address State and Federal Needs Forregional Geologic Mapping, 3D Data Creation, Gems Conversions of Existing Maps, and Regionalstratigraphic Correlation.activities: the Utah Geological Survey (UGS) Proposes Projects for the National Cooperativegeologic Mapping Program Statemap Funding Opportunity. All Projects Will Have a 24-MONTHPERIOD of Performance That Ends on June 30, 2027. in Part I (new Mapping), Guidance Criteria(gc) 1, the Ugs Proposes to Complete 8 New Maps That Include 6 7.5 Quadrangles (grantsville,burmester, Wanship, Mountain Dell, Goulding, and Monument Pass), a Revised Geologic Map Ofbryce Canyon National Park, and the Completion of the Wildcat MT. 30 X 60 Quadrangle. Inpart Ii (u.s. Geoframework Initiative (usgi)), the Ugs Proposes the Following. in GC3 the Ugs Proposes to Complete Revisions to the State Geologic Map at 1:500,000 Scale in Conjunction With Revising the Cross Sections for the State Geologic Map as Part of GC6. Based on a Reduction in New Mapping Projects in the Revised Proposal, the Ugs Has Reduced the Budget for the Corresponding Gems Conversions in GC5. for GC5, the Ugs Will Complete Correlative Gems Conversions for 8 Published Maps Including 6 7.5 Quadrangle Maps (lincoln Point, Pelican Point, Goshen Valley N, West Mountain, Pine Grove, Blawn Mountain), the Geologic Map of Arches National Park, and the Delta 30 X 60 Quadrangle. the Ugs Has Included a Simple Table Below That Lists the Revised New Mapping and Correlative Gems Products. in GC10, the Ugs Proposes to Investigate and Resolve Stratigraphic Correlation and Nomenclature for the Neoproterozoic Uinta Mountain Group Innorthern Utah. the Ugs Also Proposes Funding for Two Staff to Attend an Annual Digital Mappingtechnologies (DMT) Meeting.deliverables and Outcomes: Deliverables and Outcomes for All Part 1 Projects Will Includepdfs of the 1:24,000- and 1:62,500-SCALE Geologic Maps With Accompanying Explanatorymaterials. Submission of Gems Level 3 Databases of the Accompanying Maps Mentioned Aboveto the Ngmdb. Part 2 Deliverables Will Include PDF Maps, Accompanying Explanatorymaterials, Reports, Gems and Other Databases as Enumerated in the Proposal.intended Beneficiaries: the Proposed Projects Will Benefit a Range of Constituents That INCLUDE:1) the Citizens of Utah, 2) the Citizens of the Usa, 3) Private Interests Related to Development,energy and Mineral Resources, Water Resources, and Other Business Interests, and 4) Various State,local, and Federal Governing Bodies.
