Project Title: FY25 Utah Geological Survey Mine Waste Travel Assistanceproject Period: 7 15 2025 Through 12 31 2025PROJECT Purpose: the Utah Geological Survey (UGS) Provides Timely, Objective Scientific Information About Utah S Geologic Environment, Resources, and Hazards to All Utahns to Improve Their Lives Through Informed Decision Making. Utah Has One of the Longest and Most Diverse Mining Histories in the United States That Spans Three Physiographic Provinces. Through This Project, Two Representatives From the Ugs Minerals Group Will Attend the U.s. Geological Survey S Earth Mri 2025 Workshop to Represent Utah S Critical Mineral Resources. the Earth Mri Workshops Bring Together Technical Experts From Across the Usgs and State Geological Surveys and Other Agencies to Assess and Discuss Data and Information Relevant to the Identification of Focus Areas Across the Nation With Potential for Hosting Critical Mineral Deposits.activities to Be Performed: Two Representatives From the Ugs Minerals Group Will Attend the U.s. Geological Survey S Earth Mri 2025 Workshop in Person in Reston, Va.
