Project Proposal: Utah 2024 Statemap Proposalproject Period: 07 01 2024 Through 06 30 2026PURPOSE: the Proposed Projects Address Basic Needs for Geologic Mapping at Scales INCLUDING1:24,000 and 1:100,000 Across Utah. Additional Projects Address State and Federal Needs Forgems Conversions of Existing Maps, Updating Ngmdb Databases, Gems Workflow Andtraining, Stratigraphic Correlation, and a Fact Sheet of Geologic Mapping.activities: the Utah Geological Survey (UGS) Proposes Projects for the National Cooperativegeologic Mapping Program Statemap Funding Opportunity. All Projects Will Have 24 Monthperiod of Performance That Ends on June 30, 2026. in Part I (new Mapping), Guidance Criteria(gc) 1, the Ugs Proposes to Complete 8 New Maps That Include 7 7.5 Quadrangles (dromedarypeak Phase 2, Santaquin, Mills Junction, Woodland, the North Half of Rill Creek, Oljeto, Brycecanyon and Part of One 30 X60 Quadrangle (wildcat MT. W Phase 2). S Reduced the Scopeof Dromedary Peak Phase 2, North Half of Rill Creek, and Bryce Canyon 7.5 S by Reducingproposed Analysis Costs. the Recipient Has Reduced the Scope of Wildcat MT. W by Reducing the Staff Timefor Geophysical Analysis. in Part Ii U.s. Geoframework Initiative (usgi), the Recipient Proposes Thefollowing. in GC5 the Ugs Will Complete Correlative Gems Conversions for 7 Published 7.5 Quadrangle Maps (bicknell, Rill Creek-kane Springs, Sugarhouse, Angel Cove, Swallowcanyon, Burrville, Kings Peak) and the Ogden 30 X60 Quadrangle. the Recipient Has Included a Simpletable That Lists the Revised New Mapping and Correlative Gems Products. in GC8, the Recipient Proposes Tofurther Refine and Update the Gems Capabilities and Workflows. in GC11, the Recipient Proposes Toinvestigate and Resolve Stratigraphic Correlation and Nomenclature for the Early Cretaceous(burro Canyon Formation and Yellow Cat Member) in Southeastern Utah. in GC12 the Recipient Revisedthe Proposed Work by Removing the Geodatabase of Mapping Status Deliverable and Proposing Toprovide Just a Fact Sheet That Presents the Status of Statemap Funded Geologic Mapping Inutah.deliverables and Outcomes: Deliverables and Outcomes for All Part 1 Projects Will Includepdfs of the 1:24,000- and 1:62,500-SCALE Geologic Maps With Accompanying Explanatorymaterials. Submission Gems Level 3 Databases of the Accompanying Maps Mentioned Above Tothe Ngmdb. Part 2 Deliverables Will Include PDF Maps, Accompanying Explanatory Materials,reports, Gems and Other Databases as Enumerated in the Proposal.intended Beneficiaries: the Proposed Projects Will Benefit a Range of Constituents That Include 1) the Citizens of Utah, 2) the Citizens of the U.s.a, 3) Private Interests Related to Development,energy and Mineral Resources, Water Resources, and Other Business Interests, and 4) Various State,local, and Federal Governing Bodies.
