Project Period 9 15 23-9 14 24PROJECT Title: Invasive Species Early Detection and Rapid Response Capability Enhancement and Data Federationthis Project Will Contribute to Invasive Species Early Detection and Rapid Response Capabilities and Data Federation. Natureserve Will Collaborate With the Us Geological Survey and Other Major Invasive Species Database Aggregators to Inform Data Sharing Standards and Approaches Required to Unite Invasive Species Efforts, Improve Access to Existing and Emerging Invasive Species Information Resources, and Facilitate Early Detection and Rapid Response Coordination Across the Us States and Territories. Project Activities in Year One Will Focus on Identifying and Understanding Gaps in Invasive Species Information Delivery and Supporting the Successful Integration of Data and Information Products to Advance Early Detection and Rapid Response. Activity 1 Will Develop a Capabilities Matrix That Compares the Key Functionalities Offered by Each Major Invasive Species Database Aggregator System.activity 2 Will Develop a Public Web Service to Push Data From Natureserves Imapinvasives Database for Access by Usgs and Other National Invasive Species Systems. Activity 3 Will Integrate Public Web Services From the Usgs and Other National Invasive Species Data Aggregators to Pull Data Into Natureserves Imapinvasives Systemactivity 4 Will Develop Value-added Services for Improved Nationwide Early Detection and Rapid Response to Invasive Species. Project Deliverables in Year 1 Will Include a National Invasive Species Data Providers Capability Matrix a Web Map Service of Public, Confirmed Presence Records That Provides an Always-current View of Imapinvasives Observations That Can Be Integrated Into Custom Maps in Online and Desktop Environments. the Expected Outcomes of This Collaborative Project Are 1) a Better Understanding of the Current Gaps in Invasive Species Information Delivery and 2) Cost-effective Solutions for Sharing and Aggregating Invasive Species Data Among Platforms, Leading to 3) Improved Early Detection and Rapid Response Capabilities Across the Us States and Territories.the Project Will Provide Information Tools to Assist Citizens and Resource Managers Working to Protect Natural Resources From the Threat of Invasive Species.
