Application Purpose: the Purpose of the Sec 5307 Funds Is to Provide Capital and Operating Assistance Within the Lakeland Florida Uza. the Award Will Assist the Lakeland Area Mass Transit District (LAMTD) by Providing One Year of Operating and Capital Preventative Maintenance Assistance. the Sec 5339 Award Is to Provide the Funding Assistance Needed to Replace or Upgrade the Agencys Legacy Intelligent Transit System (its); Inclusive of But Not Limited to MDT Apcs Fare Collection and Next Bus Technology.; Activities Performed: the Fy 2025 Sec 5307 Funding as Stated in Attached Table 3A Indicates the Amount of $4234916 Is Available for Use Within the Lakeland Florida Uza. Said Funding Will Be Used to Help Defray Eligible Capital Preventive Maintenance and Operating Expenses Such as Driver Salaries Fuel Indirect Costs Etc. Program Pages in the Forecasted 2025 Budget Dated July 7/1/24 for Fy 2024 Projects in the Stip Are on Page 5469-5470. the Forecasted Budget Is Based on Historical Data and May Vary From the Approved Allocation. This Application Is Not for Research and Development. There Is an Indirect Cost Rate of 35.15 % Applied to Operating Activities Within This Application. Lamtd Is the Direct Recipient for These Funds the Source of Local Operating Match Will Be Provided by the Lakeland Area Mass Transit District an Independent Taxing District. the Local Match for Capital Preventive Maintenance Will Be Provided by the State of Florida Fdot in the Form of Transportation Development Credits. It Is Not Projected That There Will Be Any Purchase Over $10000 for 5307 Funds. Lamtd Will Follow All 3RD Party Procurement Policies as Defined in C42200.1G (third Party Contracting Guidance.) Lamtd Will Ensure Contractors Procured Will Not Be on the Fta Suspension and Debarment List. Stip #S Is 410149-1 for Capital and 410149-2 for Operating. the Fy 2025 Sec 5339 Funding as Stated in Attached Table 12 Indicates the Amount of $278094 Is Available for Use Within the Lakeland Florida Uza. Said Funding Will Be Used to Assist in Replacing or Upgrading the Agencys Legacy Intelligent Transit System (its); Inclusive of But Not Limited to MDT Apcs Fare Collection and Next Bus Technology. This Project Is Listed on Page 5472 of the Stip Dated 7/01/2024. the Project Start Date Will Be the Date Identified by the Fta With an End Date of Sept 30 2031. This Is Not a Research and Development Grant. There Is No Indirect Cost Rate Applied to the 5339 Portions of This Application. Lamtd Is the Direct Recipient of These Funds and the Local Match Will Be Provided by the State of Florida Fdot in the Form of Transportation Development Credits. Lamtd Will Ensure Contractors Procured Will Not Be on the Fta Suspension and Debarment List. the Replacement of or Upgraded Software/hardware Will Have a Useful Life of Seven Years. Stip #S Is 435771-1.; Expected Outcomes: Funding Will Allow for the Continuation of Transit Services in the Lakeland Uza With Reduced Down Time Due to Preventive Maintenance of Capital Equipment and the Installation of New Its Systems Will Improve Data Collections for NTD Reporting Patrons Experience and Over Service Efficiencies; Intended Beneficiaries: the Transit Riders of Polk County Will Be the Ones Benefiting From the Continuation of Public Transportation in the Lakeland Uza; Subrecipient Activities: None
