Application Purpose: the Jacksonville Transportation Authority Will Implement the First Coast Commuter Rail Transit Oriented Development Project Along the First Coast Flyer Green Line a 10-MILE Bus Rapid Transit Line With 5.5 Miles of Dedicated Lanes. the Green Line Which Opened in 2015 Serves Key Destinations in Northwest Jacksonville Such as Employment Centers Educational Institutions and Residential Neighborhoods.; Activities Performed: the Jta Tod Pilot Study Is a Transformative Initiative Designed to Achieve Several Key Objectives. It Aims to Enhance Economic Development Boost Ridership and Achieve Project Development Goals Ensuring a Thriving Transit-oriented Community. the Study Also Prioritizes Multimodal Connectivity Making Various Transportation Modes Seamlessly Accessible and Encourages Pedestrian and Bicycle Traffic to Increase Access to Transit Hubs. With a Focus on Mixed-use Development the Project Creates Vibrant Well-rounded Communities That Blend Housing Commerce and Services. by Identifying Essential Infrastructure Needs It Provides a Comprehensive Actionable Plan and Private Sector Participation Is Encouraged to Secure Investments for Development. Ultimately the Jta Tod Pilot Study Seeks to Create a More Accessible and Economically Vibrant Urban Environment Enhancing Mobility Access and Livability for the Jacksonville Community.; Expected Outcomes: Transit-oriented Development (TOD) Planning on the First Coast Flyer (FCF) Greenline BRT Corridor Aims to Improve Economic Development and Transit Ridership Facilitate Multimodal Connectivity and Accessibility Increase Access to Transit From Non-motorized Transportation Enable Mixed-use Development Identify Infrastructure Needs and Facilitate Both Public and Private Sector Involvement in the Tod Planning Process. This Grant Will Allow Jta and Its Partners to Start Planning for Growth in This Area That Maximizes the Full Potential of the BRT System While Shaping Growth in a Way That Incorporates Tod.
