Funding Provided to American Bird Conservancy (ABC) by the Upper Mississippi Great Lakes Joint Venture (umgl JV) via the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and U.s. Forest Service Will Support the Northern Forest Conservation Delivery Network. Specifically, the Funding Supports the Northern Forest Conservation Delivery Network (CDN) Coordinator to Provide Support and Leadership Within the Umgl JV Northern Forest Bird Network and Serve on the Umgl JV Science Team. the Coordinator Helps to Accelerate and Amplify Forest Bird Conservation and Research Initiatives in Bird Conservation Region 12 That Are Consistent With the Joint Venture Landbird Habitatconservation Strategy, While Identifying Additional Priority Bird Habitat Needs Within the Boreal Hardwoodtransition Region. a Focus Will Be on Collaborating With a Range of Natural Resource Partners to Leverageresources and Funding to Secure Support for Landscape-scale Programs. the CDN Coordinator Will Also Work Withpartners to Identify, Utilize, and Disseminate the Most Recent Biological and Ecological Research to Facilitateeducation and Outreach Opportunities and Support Groups Such as Forestry for Birds Initiatives, While Promotingthe Creation of Outreach and Technical Resources. the Northern Forest CDN Is a Collaborative Conservation Networkthat Aligns With the Upper Mississippi Great Lakes Joint Venture Management Board Strategy to Developconservation Delivery Networks to Further the Goals Identified in the Joint Ventures Regional Conservationplans.
