The Chippewa Ottawa Resource Authority (CORA) Will Use the Awarded United States Fish and Wildlife Services Grant Funding to Fund a One-year Annual Maintenance Fee in 2024 for the Electronic Catch Reporting System Which Was Designed and Developed as Part of the Significant Outcome of the Negotiations for the 2023 Great Lakes Fishing Decree for the Transition of All Harvest Reporting by All Cora Member Tribes Fishers in the 1836 Treaty Waters to an Electronic Harvest Reporting System. the New System as Part of the Commitment of the Cora Member Tribes in the 2023 Great Lakes Fishing Decree Will Facilitate More Intensive Harvest Monitoring and Oversight to Ensure That Harvest Stays Within Sustainable Levels. the Service Agreement for Yearly Maintenance Is Needed to Ensure the Electronic Catch Reporting System Is Functioning Adequately With Little to No Down Times So the Tribal Fishermen Can Enter Their Harvest Data Upon the Schedule Required of the Decree. These One-time Funds Will Afford Time to the Cora Member Tribes to Consider Options for Funds to Be Made Available for Future Annual Maintenance Service Agreements of a Harvest Data System That Had Not Been Anticipated to Be Needed From Negotiations of a New Decree. During the Calendar Year Beginning 1 1 2024- 12 31 2024, the Services Will Be That of Technical Support and All System Maintenance Tasks Required for the Cora Electronic Catch Reporting System Which Is Hosted in the Dedicated a WS Account for Domain Registration Relational Database Service Email and Test Services Maintenance for the Support Email Service System Monitoring Services Administration of the Repository for Source Codes and System Documentation and Any Other Services Needed With the Support System Operations. the Catch Reporting System Will Allow for the Required Data to Be Entered to Meet the Mandates of the 2023 Great Lakes Fishing Decree for the Cora Member Tribes to Have Their Tribal Fishers Report Their Harvest in an Electronica Reporting System and That the Data Contained Shall Be Shared With the United States and the State of Michigan as Specified in the Decree.
