The Understory Initiative

Since the Fall of 2019, the Understory Initiative, in Partnership With the Us Fish Wildlife Partnersprogram, Has Worked to Increase Pollinator Habitats on Private Lands in the Rogue Basin. This Projectleverages Financial Support, Ecological Expertise, and Private Landowner Collaboration to Address the Decline Ofpollinator Populations Caused by Habitat Loss, Invasive Species, and Climate Change. the Requested Funding Willsupport Another Years of Activities Including Seed Collection, Propagation, Restoration Planning, and Seeding Onmultiple Private Sites. This Initiative Aims to Enhance Habitats Specifically for the Western Monarch Butterflyand Other Pollinators, Fostering Ecological Resilience and Biodiversity in Southwestern Oregon.
