The Northwoods Stewardship Center Is Providing Five Shorebird Interns for the Rhode Island National Wildlife Refuge to Monitor Federally Protected Piping Plovers Least Terns and American Oystercatchers During the Nesting Season. Interns Will Post and Sign Nesting Habitat Areas and Perform Nest Searching. Additionally They Will Set Up Nest Enclosures and Educate the Public. Tasks Will Also Include the Monitoring of Shorebird Pairs and Chicks and Recording and Entering Data.
