Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program

The Goal of This Project Is to Design and Conduct Successful Community-based Baseline Monitoring of Air Quality in the Mountainview and South Valley Area of New Mexico S Middle Rio Grande Valley, Through the Involvement of Youth and Community Stakeholders. the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program Is a 501(C) (3) Nonprofit Corporation Registered in the State of New Mexico That Partners With University of New Mexico, Department of Biology Whereby K-12 Students and Teachers From New Mexico Participate in Long-term Bosque Research at 33 Different Monitoring Sites These Findings Are Used by Government Agencies to Manage and Make Informed Decisions About the Bosque. in Partnership With Environmental Justice Air Network Steering Committee and Environmental Justice Air Staff, the Project Will Leverage Bemp S Expertise and Knowledge in Community-based Monitoring to Inform and Support the Design Process for Successful Community Deployment of the Environmental Justice Air Network Mobile and Stationary Monitors. This Project Will Support the Development and Delivery of Community and Classroom Events That Engage Participants in Air Quality Data Collection and Data Analysis In-class Education for Community Schools to Perform Air Quality Monitoring and Establish a Long-term Monitoring Network of Air Quality in These Stated Communities. This Project Will Also Support Long Term Strategy and Design for Sustainability of Environmental Justice Air Network to Achieve the Aforementioned Projects.
