This Project Is for a Cooperative Monitoring and Management Project Between the Usfws, Nas Whiting Field, and the Longleaf Alliance for the Habitat Management Activities That Will Focus on Invasive Species Control Using a Variety of Control Methods Including Preparing Firebreaks, Conducting Prescribed Burns, or Using a Contractor for Mulching. This Project Will Accomplish 100 Acres of Habitat Restoration at Nas Whiting Field and Associated Outlying Fields. This Project Will Also Help the Navy Meet Its Requirements for the Protection of Military and Recreational Activities, Wildlife Habitats, Forests, Wetlands, and Other Natural Habitats. the Longleaf Alliance Will Fulfill All Aspects of the Scope of Work and Will Be Working in Close Coordination With the Installation, Nafac Se and the Us FWS.
