This Project Will Create a Dedicated Outreach Trailer Traveling the State of Texas, Improving Programs via the Ease of Gear Movement, Sharing and Program Set-up While Not Disturbing Gear Kits Organized to Train Archery Coaches. the Gear, and the Curriculum Events Supported, Will Allow for Train the Trainer Efforts With the Agency for Continued Use for Years. This Plan Intends to Utilize a Mobile, Self-contained Set of Instructional and Example Gear to Host Educational Programs Meant to Recruit New Hunters and Target Shooters to the Sport of Archery. the Equipment Will Have the Ability to Host a Diversity of Programs to Be Hosted From the Same Trailer Set of Equipment. These Program Types Include an Introduction to Bowhunting Skills, Introduction to Bow Fishing Skills, Beginner Shooting Trials, Adaptive Accessibility, Butchering, Field Equipment (tree Stands Blinds Targets) Use, and Ethical and Situational Decisions Too. This Program Is Intended to Travel Throughout the State of Texas and Be Utilized by the Three Community Archery Staff, Cover Many Miles in Texas Between State Parks, Wildlife Management Areas and Partner Properties and Become Available to a Greater Depth of Instructors Within the Agency After Training and Familiarization to the Curriculum. the Goal Is to Develop a Toolkit Assessing the Number of Participants and Following Those Participants to See What Path They Take Toward Retention That Other States Can Use to Replicate. the Toolkit Will Include Best Practices for Promoting the Mobile Unit as Well as an Evaluation on Which Programs Were Most Successful. Finally, an Evaluation Will Be Part of the Toolkit to Determine Its Effectiveness in Garnering Community Support for Shooting Sports.
