Sustainable Northwest

In Collaboration With Tribes, State and Federal Agencies, Natural Resource Nonprofits, and Landowners, the Upper Klamath Basin Land and Water Conservation Incentive Assistance Project, Led by Sustainable Northwest (SNW), Seeks to Increase Voluntary Producer Engagement in Land, Water, and Energy Conservation Activities in the Upper Klamath Basin (ukb.) Project Partners Will Work on Priority Stream Reaches Within the Ukb to Classify Private Lands for Enrollment in Land, Water, and Energy Conservation Programs. We Will Customize and Match Landowner Needs With Federal and State Programs, Incentives, and Grants Through Our Coordinated Efforts, and Provide the Necessary Support for Enrollment, Project Tracking and Implementation. as Part of This Project, SNW Will Provide Analysis, Recommendations, and Feedback to State and Federal Agencies Based on Local Partner and Landowner Experiences. SNW Will Evaluate Which Programs Are Utilized, Which Are Not, and, Perhaps Most Importantly, Why. With the End Goal of Improving Near and Long Term Conditions for Habitat Restoration and Economic Stability, SNW Will Use This Analysis and Work Closely With Partners to Help Improve State and Federal Programs to Broaden the Pipeline of Participating Properties.
