The Town of Covington Has Been Working Closely With Local Unites State Fish and Wildlife Reps on Removing the Low Head Dam That Sits on the Stillwater River, Just Downstream of Its Confluence With Greenville Creek. the Removal of the Dam Is Relatively Straightforward, There Is a Water Interceptor That Runs Upstream of the Dam That Will Have to Be Accounted for in the Design of the River Restoration Activities. This Project Will Provide the Needed Pre-removal Design and Other Considerations to Have a Complete Plan for Dam Removal.
