This Project Supports Three Key Capacities Necessary to Enable the Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture to Base Conservation Delivery on Sound Science and Principles of Adaptive Management, and to Target Conservation Actions Towards Landscapes With the Greatest Ecological and Socioeconomic Potential to Support Viable Populations of Priority Birds: Science Coordination, Habitat Delivery Coordination, and Communication. Deliverables for This Project Include Administrative Support and Employment of the West Gulf Coastal Plain Partnership Coordinator, Senior Science Coordinator, and Avian Ecologist, as Well as Contracted Communications Services and Direct Science Efforts. These Efforts Provide Necessary Support to the Numerous Lower Mississippi Valley Joint Venture Partners, as Well as Public and Private Land Stewards Within the 8-STATE Joint Venture Geography. the General Public Benefits From These Efforts Through Efficient Conservation of a Suite of Natural Resources, Including Bird Habitats, Bird Populations, Related Wildlife Populations, and Other Ecosystem Services Such as Clean and Abundant Water and Open Space.
