Mobilizegreen Will Work With John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge Staff to Continue to Run a Year Round Conservation Service Program for High School Youth. Mobilizegreen Will Recruit a Project Leader, Crew Leaders, and Members, Who Will Work on School Year Restoration Crews and Summer Crews at John Heinz NWR Starting in Fall 2023 for One Year. Over the Year a Total of 39 High School Students From the Local Community Will Serve on Crews That Will Work on a Variety of Projects in and Around the Refuge That Will Include, Habitat Restoration, Trail Maintenance, Beautification, Gardening, and Carpentry. Projects Will Be Completed Under the Guidance of the Usfsw John Heinz Team and Will Improve the Visitor Experience at John Heinz NWR at Tinicum and in Green Spaces in the Surrounding Communities. Integrated Into the Program Will Be Lessons and Field Trips. Leaders Will Use the John Heinz NWR and Mobilizegreen Youth Curriculum to Design and Deliver Experiential Learning Opportunities in Environmental Education, Career Development, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Leadership and Stewardship. Crews Will Also Participate in Outdoor Recreation Activities in and Around the Refuge and May Include a Camping Trip.
