Mobilizegreen Will Bring on a Biology Intern to Work at the John Heinz NWR for Twelve (12) Months. This Position Will Introduce the Candidate to Invasive Species Management, Biological Monitoring, and How to Connect People to Nature. Candidates Will Also Work With the Environmental Education and Maintenance Departments as Needed to Explore the Various Careers in the Us Fish Wildlife Service. Additional Duties Likely Include Invasive Species Eradication (including Herbicide Use and Euthanasia) Working With Volunteer Groups Bird Surveys, Bird House Maintenance Acoustic Bat Surveys Bee Survey Data Entry Report Preparation Trail Maintenance and Educating the Public. the Intern Will Work Closely With Communities Often Underserved and Underrepresented by Environmental Organizations. in Addition to Engaging Students From Local Schools, the Intern Will Also Work Within the Local Philadelphia Community to Engage and Build Trust With Community Members and Leaders Alike. the Intern Will Engage Directly With Audiences of All Ages and Backgrounds and Work Alongside a Diverse Team of Staff and Dedicated Volunteers.
