After the Successful Removal of Two Low Head Dams and Modification of a Third in 2019 and a Fourth IN2022, the Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation District Pursued Indiana Department of Natura Lresources Lake and River Enhancement Funds to Study the Options of Removal or Modification of the High Street Dam, Located in Downtown Muncie. This Is the Last of Five Dams Within City Limits That Needs to Be Addressed. Two Significant Pieces of Infrastructure, the High Street Bridge and a Sewer Interceptor Sit a Few Hundred Feet Upstream of the Dam and Understanding the Specifics of Their Location Depths Within the River Are Critical to Understanding the Possible Outcomes Regarding the Dam. Through Our Extensive Experience in Dam Removals and Modifications Across Indiana and Ohio, Selling the Vision of Landscape After the Removal or Modification of the Structure Is Critical to Building Public Support for the Project. Therefore, Additional Funds Are Being Requested to Create Exceptional Renderings Graphics and Diagrams to Help Sell the Project to Stakeholders and Be Completed Within 2 Years of Receiving Funds. Beneficiaries Include Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation District, Resident of Delaware County and the White River in Downtown Muncie, Indiana.
