As Described in Our National Fish Habitat Action Plan- Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture Proposal and U.s. Fish and Wildlife Service Endangered Species Act Section 7 Biological Opinion 05E1ME00-2021-F-1078, Project Share Will Use Heavy Machinery to Add Wood and Boulder Complexity Structures to a 0.4-MILE Reach of the Mainstem Narraguagus Above Beddington Lake. the Project (and Structures) Was Designed Using a Combination of High-resolution Orthophotos (including Lidar (light Detection and Ranging)), Total Station Surveys and Hydrologic Modeling Under the Guidance-approval of Technical Experts at the U.s. Forest Service. the Project Is Located Within Designated Critical Habitat for Federally Listed Atlantic Salmon and a Biological Opinion Was Required to Address Impacts to This Endangered Species. We Expect This Stream Restoration Project Will Be Completed Between August 15 and Sept. 30TH, 2022. the Main Objectives Are to Provide Increased Quality Habitat and Flow Diversity for Native Salmonid Species Such as Brook Trout and Atlantic Salmon.
